On August 28, LIUGONG officially opened its Peru company in Lima, marking another important step in the Chinese construction machinery manufacturer’s localization strategy in Latin America.
Held under the theme “Greening the Andes, Connecting the Future,” the opening ceremony brought together more than 200 representatives from government agencies, industry associations, customers and business partners. LIUGONG Chairman Zheng Jin, LIUGONG Vice President Li Dongchun, and Peru’s Vice Minister of Environment Ms. Soto attended the event.
As one of the world’s major mining markets, Peru has growing demand for efficient, reliable and low-carbon equipment and solutions. With its global R&D, manufacturing and service network, LIUGONG plans to accelerate the adoption of electric and intelligent construction machinery in Peru, particularly in mining and infrastructure projects.
The company also launched the first LIUGONG Green Alliance project in Latin America during the opening ceremony. Working with local governments, customers and partners, LIUGONG aims to promote green technologies and electric equipment while creating greater value for local communities.
In addition, LIUGONG signed a cooperation agreement with Peru’s National Service for Industrial Training (SENATI) to strengthen industry-education collaboration and provide young people with more opportunities for technical training and practical experience.
Having served Peru’s mining, road construction and water infrastructure sectors for more than a decade, LIUGONG is now further strengthening its local presence. The company says it will continue advancing its global strategy of comprehensive solutions, digital intelligence and globalization, while supporting Peru’s mining development, infrastructure construction and sustainable growth.
