At CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026, Topcon Positioning Systems unveiled a series of next-generation machine control, safety, and surveying solutions designed to boost productivity across earthmoving, paving, and construction operations.

A key highlight was the upgraded 3D-MC machine control platform, featuring 3D-MC Edge, which enhances grading precision by focusing control on the machine’s cutting edge. This improvement is aimed at increasing accuracy for scrapers, box blades, and dozers in complex earthworks.

For excavators, Topcon introduced Slope Control, an intelligent function that automatically adjusts bucket orientation based on digital design models, helping operators maintain consistent grading results. The new Hybrid Lock technology further improves reliability by seamlessly switching between robotic total stations and GNSS positioning when signal interruptions occur. A new onboard load weighing system was also demonstrated, enabling more efficient truck loading while reducing the risk of overloading.

In addition, the GTS-M1 robotic total station supports high-precision applications such as grading, milling, and paving. The AI-powered Topcon Awareness System enhances jobsite safety by detecting surrounding obstacles in real time. For indoor and complex environments, Topcon also showcased Topcon Origo, a portable positioning device that uses spatial reference mapping to overcome line-of-sight limitations in traditional surveying tools.
