Recently, at Zhuhai Deep-Water Equipment Manufacturing Base, ZOOMLION's 4000-ton crawler crane demonstrated stable and precise lifting performance, safeguarding the successful connection of the upper and lower structures of the first jacket for the Inch Cape European offshore wind project. This achievement highlights the remarkable operational capabilities of domestically produced ultra-large crawler cranes, offering safe, efficient, and reliable solutions for global offshore wind project construction.

The Inch Cape European offshore wind project is the largest energy project overseas led by a Chinese enterprise. Currently, the construction of jackets, monopile transition sections, and matching steel piles for the project is underway in China. The jacket that just completed the main structure connection stands 85.5 meters tall and weighs approximately 2362 tons. Comprising three legs and pile clamps, the project team innovatively employed a single-crane operation method, with ZOOMLION's 4000-ton crawler crane taking on the critical task.

The biggest challenge of this connection was achieving millimeter-level precision while maintaining balance and aligning the three legs accurately under wind influence. Any slight deviation could lead to non-compliance with precision standards. ZOOMLION's ZCC89000 crawler crane, with its operational capacity under super-lift counterweight conditions, showcased excellent stability and wind resistance during the lifting of ultra-large structures. Equipped with an intelligent collaborative control system, it further enhanced precision control during the lifting process, ensuring millimeter-level accurate positioning.

The on-site lifting team also introduced the "modular pre-assembly + real-time monitoring and calibration" technology, repeatedly simulating and verifying the entire operation process. This not only guaranteed lifting precision but also effectively reduced wind interference. Using traction ropes for adjustment and real-time data feedback, they continuously fine-tuned the upper structure's posture to perfectly match the lower cylinder. After hours of meticulous operations and efficient collaboration, the jacket's upper and lower structures were successfully connected, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent connection of 17 more jackets.

As construction and installation of the project's structural components accelerate, aiming for complete delivery by the end of the year, the project will contribute to carbon emission reduction, promote the global renewable energy industry, and build a new bridge for green energy cooperation between China and Europe. ZOOMLION will continue to drive innovation, pushing the performance boundaries of ultra-large lifting equipment and contributing to a greener future.
