On July 3rd, two national standards formulated under the leadership of LIUGONG, namely "Safety Requirements for Electric Earth-Moving Machinery" and "General Requirements for Battery Swap Systems of Pure Electric Hydraulic Excavators in Earth-Moving Machinery," were officially released. These standards fill gaps in the earth-moving machinery standard system and reach international advanced levels. So far, LIUGONG has successfully completed the formulation of nine key national standards.
In recent years, electric earth-moving machinery has emerged as a new growth area in the industry. China has made significant progress in technological innovation, environmental protection, market share, and international influence, with products being used globally. However, there has been a lack of safety standards related to electric earth-moving machinery. The "Safety Requirements for Electric Earth-Moving Machinery" systematically proposes safety requirements and implementation norms for electric earth-moving machinery of Grade B or above for the first time, covering various aspects like general safety and battery system safety. This standard helps regulate and ensure the safe use of such machinery, reducing accidents and promoting product quality.
For electric excavators, the inconvenience of energy replenishment due to remote working conditions and slow crawler movement has been a bottleneck for commercialization. The "General Requirements for Battery Swap Systems of Pure Electric Hydraulic Excavators" provides standardized and scientific criteria for battery swap systems, promoting the development of high-level battery-swap excavator products.
LIUGONG has always been committed to industry development. As the initiator of the Electric Earth-Moving Machinery Sub-committee, it will continue to leverage the platform to collaborate with industry peers and output more high-quality standards, enhancing China's technical level and international influence in electric earth-moving machinery.
