Since August 7th, Yuzhong County, Lanzhou City, Gansu Province has suffered from a historically rare severe rainfall-triggered mountain flood and debris flow disaster. Many areas such as Chengguan Town and Mahupo Township have been trapped by floods. Infrastructure such as roads, power supply and communication have been severely damaged, and the lives and property safety of tens of thousands of people have been threatened.

On August 8th, LIUGONG urgently dispatched multiple excavators, loaders and graders from surrounding areas of Yuzhong to the disaster-stricken area in the middle of the night. Under the unified deployment of the local government, the China Anren Group and relevant flood control departments, based on the operation plan of "prioritizing road restoration and focusing on river dredging", carried out 24-hour non-stop operations. Meanwhile, the service team of LIUGONG also entered the disaster area simultaneously to ensure the efficient operation of the rescue equipment.

The S104 provincial road is one of the most important rescue main routes connecting Yuzhong County in Gansu Province to the severely affected Maphu Township. With its efficient excavation and stable loading technical advantages, LIUGONG equipment focused on breaking through the 200-meter damaged roadbed section of Mianlantan section of the S104 provincial road, thus opening up the "lifeline" for subsequent rescue teams and supplies to enter.

As of August 9th, 443 people were assisted in being evacuated, and 12 kilometers of temporary roads were reopened.

LIUGONG Rushes To The Flood Control Frontline

At present, the rescue efforts in Yuzhong County are still advancing at a rapid pace. LIUGONG will continue to monitor the progress of the disaster situation and actively participate in the emergency repair and post-disaster reconstruction work, using mechanical power to build a solid defense line for the people in the disaster-stricken area!
